Following the UK government’s plan for carbon neutrality by 2050, many public sector organisations have declared a ‘climate emergency’ to help deliver tangible benefits through local sustainability and environmental projects. This session will focus on the challenges and opportunities that are faced by those tasked by the delivery of the carbon reduction targets on daily basis.
This session will focus on how University energy managers meet increasing expectations to deliver carbon reductions in a large, complex organisation. The panel discussion will focus on the challenges and opportunities faced by energy managers at universities with the Government’s Net Zero target in mind.
