Richard is an award winning environmental professional with over 15 years of experience working within the environmental management sector. ESTA Energy Manager Of The Year 2014/15. Winner: Energy Efficiency Awards East of England 2018.
Saving £4.2 million in energy costs at Norwich City Council over 10 years. Delivering a 57% reduction in Carbon emissions via LED lighting upgrades, Voltage Management, Smart IT solutions, fleet management, internal campaigns and micro-generation. Under Richards supervision Norwich was the first city in the UK to provide collective switching on domestic energy and a public auction for Solar PV via the solar together scheme.
Previously Richard managed the ISO14001 for 38 military sites in the East of England and was involved in community projects improving environmental quality via his work at Peterborough CC and ENCAMS as an environmental crime and training specialist. Richard also manages noise risk for numerous festivals in his spare time including Reading, Glastonbury and BBC events such as Proms in Hyde Park to name a few.
