George is a senior advisor on Net Zero, energy policy, economics, regulation and governance. He has over 30 years of UK and international experience as a senior civil servant, regulator, consultant and policy advisor in energy, water, environment and agriculture. George set up the Energy Systems Catapult’s policy and regulation practice covering Net Zero Carbon Policy, electricity market reform, and heat & buildings decarbonisation from 2017-22. He has been an expert advisor for BEIS and the Climate Change Committee, is a council member (formerly chair) of the British Institute of Energy Economics and sits on the UK Energy Research Centre Research Committee.
