David joined The Gym Group in April 2013 and has been critical to the rapid growth of the estate and on-going strategic expansion. In 2021 David was promoted to Chief Development and Sustainability Officer and is responsible for delivery and support of our high quality gyms as well as developing, implementing and leading our sustainability strategy. David acts as an ambassador for all sustainability related matters at The Gym Group, both internally and externally. He ensures the business is well-positioned to meet its designated sustainability reporting and disclosure obligations as well as wider corporate targets. 

The Gym Group has been carbon neutral since 2021, purchases 100% renewable energy, has reduced Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 11% since 2019 and is committed to Net Zero
