How better building management and a data-led approach enabled LSH and 4D Monitoring to deliver portfolio-wide energy savings and drive down operational costs.
In 2017, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) partnered with 4D Monitoring to deploy smart building technology across its managed property portfolio, in order to reduce energy consumption and increase operating efficiencies. The scheme has been driven by LSH as part of a project to reach a 30% reduction in energy intensity across the equity portfolio of one of its clients – a leading global real estate investor – by 2030.
The collaboration has resulted in up to 36% energy savings in sites installed with 4D Monitoring, with a typical cost saving between £2,000 and £18,000 per building; it has won a national award for its success and continues to demonstrate a return on investment.
During this presentation, Frankie (LSH) and Colin (4D Monitoring) will give detailed insight into the project. They will discuss how a data-led approach has driven significant operational efficiencies and reduced energy spend across multiple sites; talk through actions taken at management level and on the ground; outline the problems that arise from such a project, and give advice on how to overcome those hurdles in order to effect long-lasting change.
The session will give an insight into how by focusing on replacing the pumps first with new variable speed, high efficiency pumps and with Active Performance Management monitoring, system efficiency…
