This presentation will focus on the benefits and pitfalls of implementation and certification of ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems. The first part of the presentation will provide an overview of what ISO 50001 is and the benefits to organisations of effective implementation and certification, particularly with regards to improved energy performance, stronger senior management buy-in, meeting CSR targets and meeting or assisting in meeting regulatory requirements e.g. ESOS.
The second part of the presentation will include a live case study which will include DHL’s journey to certification and maintaining ongoing certification with both the benefits and pitfalls they have experienced during this journey.
