Road to Zero
Theatre : Facilities, Technology and Innovation
July 2018 saw the introduction of the government’s Road to Zero strategy. Specifically, this sets out plans to reform building regulations to accelerate the rollout of electric vehicle charge points, invest in new charging infrastructure, and ban the sale of conventional petrol and diesel cars from 2040.
The environmental impact of no new fossil fuel vehicles on the road is massive but is the target aggressive enough and is the ‘road-map’ for its implementation clear enough to be delivered.
The panel discussion will look at the practicalities of the strategy and the impact on business.
