Building and transport account for over 35% of carbon emissions worldwide and are a key part of reaching net zero. Yet the International Energy Association estimates that over 55% of the reductions we need will come from technologies that are very early stage or have not been invented yet. But how can estate managers work with these early stage start-ups and pilot untested technologies without taking on too much risk.

Innovate UK KTN supports companies large and small with building consortia and partners to access grants to fund technology research and trials. They will talk about the research trends coming out academia and start-up ecosystem, and how grant funding can help de-risk new technology trials for large organisations

We will also hear from representatives some of the UK’s leading early stage and corporate investors about how they have used grant funding to help overcome the challenges of testing new and exciting technologies.
