Low Carbon Heat Pumps: Everything you Need to Know from Cost to Efficiency

Wednesday 23rd November 2022

Theatre :  Energy Future & Flexible Networks

t4

Air and ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) have been around for quite some time now.

However, even though GSHPs are an efficient form of electric heating, many businesses are hesitant to install them because of the misconceptions revolving around this renewable heating technology.

The session will dispel some of the most common myths and give you clear answers to the most frequently asked questions so you can make a well-informed decision around whether it’s the right heating option for your business.

  • How will heat pumps help us to achieve net zero?
  • How much will it cost to swap from a gas boiler to a ground or air source heat pump?
  • Which is better – air or ground source?
  • Can I use a lake or river instead of the ground? What are the benefits of this?
  • Can heat pumps be deployed successfully in existing buildings?
  • Can I run a heat pump purely off onsite generation such as solar power?
