Around 500,000 buildings in England alone are protected by statutory listing and hundreds of thousands more are situated in conservation areas. They cover many building types from stately homes to public buildings, terraced streets and blocks of social housing. The potential carbon savings from making these buildings more energy efficient is vast.
The session will focus on near-term deep decarbonisation strategies.
Catherine will present the Church of England’s ambitious plan to net zero. With 16,000 churches, in every community, Matt will describe how it is prioritising it’s efforts, the learnings from an extensive programme of energy audits, and give real world examples of net zero carbon churches.
