British Compressed Air Society Ltd (BCAS)
The British Compressed Air Society’s (BCAS) mission is to be the united voice of the UK compressed air industry, serving as the unbiased authority on technical, educational, promotional and other matters that affect the industry and its customers.
At this year’s EMEX exhibition, BCAS will be on hand to discuss some of the latest energy-efficiency measures that can help end-users reduce compressed air costs, as well as advising on the latest standards’ and regulation updates in a world of constantly changing legislation.
Compressed air is often referred to as the fourth utility, with the electrical energy used to drive air compressors equating to approximately 10 per cent of all the electricity used in the UK. A key challenge for operators therefore is to improve bottom line productivity by considering the total cost of equipment ownership over its entire life, rather than just its initial capital price.
Visitors to stand number B24 can pick up a copy of BCAS’s whitepaper ‘Reducing Energy Consumption from Compressed Air Usage’ which outlines some of the key energy-saving measures that can be implemented to help improve profitability and lifecycle costs.
