Michael has worked in the electricity industry since graduating from the University of Liverpool in 2004. Initially focussed on mechanical and electrical consulting for new build and refit works across retail, commercial and datacentre sectors, he then transitioned into the power sector in 2007 working on the Olympics park pylon undergrounding (tunnelling) project and later would run one of the UK’s most high profile R&D projects, Low Carbon London, for UK Power Networks. Michael has an intuitive knowledge of building electrical systems as well as the power grid. He is also an avid sailor (commercially qualified to 200 tonnes), recreational woodworker and technology enthusiast.
