Good Energy to launch renewable energy trading platform to businesses at EMEX
Green utility Good Energy is launching ‘Selectricity’- its web-based renewable energy trading platform – to businesses in a special event at EMEX on 16th of November.
Good Energy businesses customers will use the online service for enhanced transparency and control of their energy supply and the ability to match with local renewable generators.
The supplier, which already has 4,000 business customers, partnered with the Department for Energy and Climate Change to trial the platform. It is now the first company in the UK to offer businesses such unrivalled control over where it can source its power.
‘Selectricity’ enables Good Energy to launch a new local renewable energy procurement solution for business customers, underpinned by peer-to-peer energy matching algorithms. The online service will provide customers with a refined user experience and access to data and analytics.
Juliet Davenport, chief executive and founder of Good Energy, said:
In a highly competitive UK electricity market, transparency and choice are the keys to success. We know that business customers want to buy renewable electricity from local generators. ‘Selectricity’ will give your business data and control over your energy supply chain through a simple and intuitive online service.”
